Feel free to make substitutions as needed and according to your taste. Beginners will want to start with only a few leafy greens and increase when ready. We do advise adding them to all the smoothies for added fiber, satiability, and minerals. One suggestion to keep in mind: If your fruit isn't very sweet, add a little stevia. Our favorite is Stevita brand which comes in a plain powder and in a large variety of flavored liquids. It is a non-coloric sweetener made from the stevia herb. You only need a pinch in the fruit-based recipes.
